“Bad people should get a bad end.” This was Jonah’s outlook, and often our own. Jonah was furious with God. His wrath was a bubbling over kind of wrath. We often fail to see and act as God sees and acts. One day we hope to see realized more and more the very depth of God’s heart expressed through our heart, hands, and voices the way Peter expressed it. “The Lord is not slow about keeping his promise as some count slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
